Eligibility Criteria for a Modified Car Insurance policy with MCI (please read carefully)

You Must:

  • be 21 or over (applies to all drivers)

  • have least 1 years No Claims bonus gained in your name. (We are able to mirror NCB and also accept company car, commercial vehicle and motor trade NCB)

  • have held a Full UK drivers license for a minimum of 3yrs (applies to all drivers)

The car Must:

  • be worth over £1,000 and under £50,000 (cars above £25,000 will require additional security)

  • If the vehicle is a BMW, it must be modified, all drivers must be over 30 years old with at least one year of ownership. (This criteria does not apply to the Mini brand.)

    • you have been declared bankrupt, have an IVA, DRO or CCJ. Please call us for a quotation and notify the representative you speak with instead of applying online. Many insurance companies we work with often refuse to offer cover but we may still be able to provide a quotation depending on your circumstance. By filling out our form below you are confirming you have NOT been declared bankrupt or had an IVA, DRO or CCJ in the past 6 years

    • you have ever been cautioned or convicted of any non-motoring criminal offence

    • you have ever been refused any motor insurance or continuance thereof

    • you have ever had a claim payment refused, or a claim repudiated due to non-disclosure or fraudulent behaviour
